T20 Cricket Is HERE!

The greatest party in sports T20 Cricket is HERE!.  With our very own Sir Vivian Richards at the helm of Antigua Hawksbills in the inaugural Caribbean Premier League and lead by Captain Marlon Samuels everyone was on the edge of their seats in our first home game.  Down to 1 ball and 1 run to win the match, in true T20 style Antigua Hawksbills came out on top against the league’s leader the Barbados Tridents.

However, sweet victory was short lived in our second home game against the St. Lucia Zouks on Thursday night.  With a goal of 179 runs to chase Antigua Hawksbills after 10 overs at 76/3 the St. Lucia Zouks secured the win by Duckworth Lewis system because of persistent rain.

All is not lost and with our confidence still in tack Antigua Hawksbills is ready for the final home game on Saturday against the league’s 2nd place team Guyana Amazon Warriors in which we need to secure a win in order to make it to the semi-finals and a shot at the finals.  There is lots of excitement and buzz on radio and social media and fans are ready to come out on Saturday to cheer on the home team and we are ready to prove that “We’ve Come To Play”.

At Trade Winds Hotel and Bay House Restaurant & Bar we are having a smashing time as well.  It hasn’t been a dull moment since we wrapped up carnival.  We hosted two fabulous weddings and our house is full with fans and media here for the CPLT20 cricket.  Our daily 2-hour Happy Hour from 5-7pm is a great hit and we are scoring big as guests are enjoying fabulous sunsets, delicious cocktails and breathtaking atmosphere before heading over to Sir Vivian Richard Stadium for some cricket fun.

No need for your to miss out on all this fun, our 2-for-1 room special is available year-round and I’m sure you could use an escape before the summer is over and you head back to work or school car-pooling…click here to see what’s happening in Antigua and BOOK NOW!
